HydroTrack (“we”, “our”, “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide
Water intake data: Daily water consumption entries you log in the app. This data is stored locally on your device using Hive (a local database). If you enable cloud sync, this data may also be stored in Firebase Firestore under your anonymous user ID.
Firebase Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and session duration. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Firebase Crashlytics: If the app crashes, we collect crash logs, device model, OS version, and stack traces to diagnose and fix issues. This data is anonymized.
AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): If ads are displayed, Google may collect device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID) for ad personalization and frequency capping. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
1.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
We do not collect location data.
We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps.
We do not sell any data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Data
Water intake data: To display your hydration history, charts, and progress toward your goals.
Analytics data: To understand how users interact with the app and improve features.
Crash data: To identify and fix bugs.
Ad data: To display relevant advertisements (managed by Google AdMob).
3. Data Storage & Security
Local storage: Your water intake data is stored on your device using Hive, a fast local database.
Cloud sync (optional): If enabled, data is synced to Firebase Firestore over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Firebase security rules protect access.
Security measures: All network communication uses HTTPS. Firebase infrastructure provides enterprise-grade security.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your data with any third parties except:
Google Firebase: For analytics, crash reporting, and optional cloud sync (anonymized).
Google AdMob: For ad delivery (uses advertising ID per Google Play policies).
5. Your Rights
Access your data: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
Delete your data: Go to Settings → Clear All Data to permanently delete your water intake history and preferences from the device. If cloud sync is enabled, local data deletion also removes cloud data.
Opt out of ads: Disable personalized ads in your device’s Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Data export: You can export your data from the app’s settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
HydroTrack does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require account creation.
